To all of our exhibitors, buyers, supporters and the wider trade community,
With UK ‘lockdown’ now in place and our April events cancelled (we are still planning for May onwards and will update you as soon as we can) we find ourselves in an extraordinary situation, one that no business or trader, however large or small, could possibly have been prepared for and we feel we have to offer what support we can. As a small family-run business which supports independent businesses and traders, we fully understand the impact the next few weeks/months will have on us all and our thoughts are very much with the trade. Through our social media and database we have the capacity to reach 35,000 plus people and would like to use this platform to give the trade some help whilst fairs are halted. We will be using our online powers to help you remain visible, keep networking functioning and help you get word out that you are still trading. We understand that many don’t operate online, so we are also looking into how we can support you. We also understand that getting orders out at this time will be disrupted but are sure that arrangements can be made for fulfilment once there are less restrictions in place. We will do our absolute best to support who we can but please be patient with us as we’ve never offered this kind of support before and we don’t know quite how much interaction there will be.
Here’s what we’re doing NOW:
We will be doing regular ‘shout-outs’ on our Instagram stories for dealers, please direct message us through Instagram and we will add you to the ‘shout-out’ list. In addition, we will aim to repost any posts and stories which we are tagged in – don’t forget to tag us @asfairs (without this we won’t know you’ve posted!). We have also created a hashtag for you to use when you make a post so that everything gets collated on Instagram, this is #asfairscovid19support. Just to make sure no information is lost we will create a ‘highlight’ called Covid19support on our Instagram where we will endeavour to file all related stories.
If you would like us to mention you please send us a direct message through Facebook with your trading name and a live link to your business Facebook page. We will include you in a post/posts, tagging you as we go, so that our audience knows you are still trading.
Please tag us @asfairs in any posts on Twitter and we will endeavour to repost. You can use the hashtags #asfairs and #asfairscovid19support.
Amongst other ideas we are exploring, we hope to use our blog to create a directory of our dealers, so please could you let us know if you’d like to be included. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading ‘ASFairs directory’ giving us your trading name, any online links you sell through, your contact details and a brief description of what you sell.
We’ll be using this to keep our database up-to-date with the blogs we post and any other updates regarding the current situation. You can sign up to our newsletter over on our homepage.
We really hope this helps keep trade alive during these turbulent times.
We'll continue to update you via our social media: Facebook @arthurswallowfairs, Instagram and Twitter @asfairs. You can also sign-up to our newsletter at asfairs.com (left hand side of our home page).
Stay safe and positive - here's to seeing you all soon.
Best regards from all at Arthur Swallow Fairs.
