5th June 2018
After a hugely successful start to the Summer of Salvage season at Ripley Castle last month, our second of five shows is just around the corner and we can’t wait! This Friday we will once again throw open the gates for three days (Friday June 8th - Sunday June 10th) of delightful boutique shopping, so do join us for the usual offering of inspirational and unique things for the home, garden and personal renovation project.
If you’ve never been to one of the Decorative Home & Salvage Shows before, here’s what interiors magazine Reclaim has to say about the shows: ‘Expect to find a plethora of sellers offering on-trend home and garden wares such as decorative antiques, architectural salvage, French brocante, industrial furniture and accessories, and reclaimed gardenalia, all beautifully presented within a leafy green, stately setting. The fairs are a quintessentially English day out of lunching, sipping tea, balancing ice-creams, gentle chit-chat and cheery laughter, whilst indulging in your home décor dreams – shopping at its finest’.
Although the format for each of our five summer shows is the same, each one has its own character, but one thing that always strikes us about Cheshire are the big skies; when the sun shines the vibrant china blue always makes everything look so vibrant. With this in mind we are theming the show’s Instagram Scavenger Hunt as ‘Hues of Blues’. To enter all you need to do is post your favourite ‘Blue’ find from the show – whether it be a glazed pot, painted cupboard or a scene with blue skies – on Instagram using the hashtag #asfairs and putting ‘Arthur Swallow Fairs Blues’ in your image caption – don’t forget to geotag your post too. As always, there will be a lovely prize from the show for the winner of the best capture (judge to be announced). The 'Blooms' theme from last month's show went down a storm - you can see the winning image here. Good luck to you if you enter during your visit to Cheshire.
We look forward to welcoming you to the first Cheshire show of the year - don't forget to bring plenty of cash (although some exhibitors do take cards) and some big bags to fill with treasure!
