Last week’s Cheshire Decorative Home & Salvage Show was a sunny affair which offered up great home shopping for those looking for one-off things for the home and garden. As always, there were plenty of beautiful, decorative items for the indoors, but what really shone out was the quality of things for outdoor living; French bistro table and chairs sets, sturdy stone troughs, vintage deckchairs, wooden ladders, pretty enamelware and lots of lovely old galvanised containers perfect for summer plants and flowers.
We ran an ‘Outdoor Living’ themed scavenger hunt and saw lots of people snapping up, and snapping pictures of, great finds for the garden. Chloe Butler, our Scavenger Hunt winner, won some gorgeous old field guides and botanical prints for her winning picture on Instagram of one of Reclaimed World's Shepherd's Huts kitted out with rustic textures of metal and wood. Local visitors Kate and Rechel Lee (above) fully embraced the theme with a successful day of shopping for their garden room and garden.
Sharon Falshaw and Cheryl Cannon (above) from the Lake District explained how coming to the Decorative Home & Salvage Shows is their summer treat, and although they come to buy for their retail outlets they always go home with an abundance of things for their own homes.
The stands, as ever, were filled with curious displays which charmed visitors and our exhibitors offered a warm welcome to all.
With plenty of great catering on site, there was every reason to stay for lunch, afternoon tea or to relax with a cold beer or Pimms and make a day of it.
Next up is our Lincoln Antiques & Home Show, August 14th & 15th. Join trade and public buyers from all over the world as they make their regular pilgrimage to indulge in shopping for some of the finest antiques, collectables, decorative homewares, vintage, salvage, art, gardenalia, jewellery, militaria, china and silverware available in the UK.
With exhibitors joining us from all over Europe you'll get the opportunity to add a little contintental touch to your home too; French and Hungarian homewares and Dutch salvage are always in abundance.
